Guided hiking tours are available,with 500 different itineraries of the southern Apuane Alps, ideal for hikers and climbers, or for those who just like an easy mountain walk. A gorgeous running mountain stream with dipping pools and waterfalls is a half hour walk from Rombolo.

From here Versilia beaches are just 1/2 hour , Florence 1Hr , Pisa International Airport in only 45 minutes, Lucca 35 minutes, Viareggio 25 minutes. This allows you to combine a "nature" holiday with the well known cultural splendor of Tuscany. Liguria and Cinque Terre, the Versilia nightlife, the shopping in Forte dei Marmi (just 20 min drive), and the art workshops and galleries of Pietrasanta (15 min drive) are all interesting day trip from Rombolo.
